Things have been going a little strangely lately. As you can guess, blogging has not been my priority.
We officially started school on September 5. Actually, we started phasing school back in the week before. We schooled solidly for two weeks, then Grandmother came for a visit. We had intended to school through out her visit at a slower pace, but that just didn’t work out. The kids had colds; sleep/nap schedules were off; it’s so exciting having guests. We did some, but now need to catch up. We are technically in Week 4 of Year 2, but are going back and finishing the readings from Week 3 simultaneously. I am letting everything but the Ambleside readings go so that we can keep on schedule. Most of what we skipped for Grandmother was self-paced work that we can step back into easily.
Today we started by doing the first activity in Real Science 4 Kids, Pre-Level 1 Chemistry. Then we read some of last weeks history and today’s history. We’re off to Parkday soon, so we’ll catch up on the rest of todays reading this evening. I hope to be caught up by the end of the week.
